What Could Bloody Mucus Stools Suggest?

I had my gallbladder removed about 6mo's ago, I did experience problems with very loose stools after I ate but now I am able to eat pretty much anything with out having an "attack". For the last couple of weeks I've noticed on my stools there is a bloody mucas surrounding them, pretty much everytime I have a BM. I am not having any abdominal pain, fever or any symptoms at all.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Bloody mucus stools suggest intestine infection through some sort of bacteria or virus ingested via contaminated food or liquids.

I recommend immediate care with GI specific antibiotic, pro biotics to cover up the issue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
