Hi I was just wondering, I have an IUD in an am bleeding but I feel that I could be pregnant. Can I do a test while I am bleeding, its much heavier than normal. I have had the IUD for 2 years. I m struggling with money so am unable to pay for a consultation
You can't be pregnant as you have an IUD implant and you are already bleeding. An IUD is a reversible way to prevent pregnancy in the long term. A person with an IUD may experience irregular bleeding and other side effects like pain and nausea.
Different IUD's can cause different side effects. A person usually experiences irregular bleeding as their body is first adjusting to the device.
If you are experiencing bleeding, then you should see a doctor ensure that the device is in place and that no other condition, such as a cervical infection, is responsible.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
