What Could Bleeding Bump On Labia Indicate?

Hi, I have a bump on my labia that bleeds sometimes and I m curious as to what it could be. I try to pop it but it just gets purple and keeps bleeding. There s no chance of an STD and I m very clean. I thought it could ve been an ingrown hair but it s been present for at least 3 weeks. What could this be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely bartholin cyst. If you send a picture of it then it will be more helpful in identifying. It can get infected and give such symptoms. Hot fomentation and betadine ointment for local application will be helpful. Antibiotic therapy will be needed if it not helping. You can approach your gynecologist for this. If this condition is recurrent or persisting then surgical excision or marsupialization should be considered.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
