What Could Biopsy Finding Of Rare Epithelial Cells On Retroperitoneal Mass Indicate?

My mother had a CT scan of the abdomen showing a retroperitoneal mass which was displacing the pancreas. It also showed a mass on the left lobe of the liver. She had needle biopsy done on friday on the retroperitoneal mass. I have not gotten the full report as of yet but was told it looks suspicious and their were rare epithelial cells seen. Can you tell me a little more?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You may have some malignant mass in the retro peritoneum. Your FNAC report of rare epithelial cell does not indicate anything. You should go for Ultrasound guided biopsy of that lesion. It will give you some idea about diagnosis. Then you should take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have any doubts then contact me at bit.ly/Drsanghvihardik, I will be happy to answer you.
