What Could Be Wrong If The Foot Of A 94 Yr Old Is Black And Blue After Falling?

My 94 year old grand mother fell a few weeks ago and hurt her right knee. I saw her this past Sunday and her left foot is black and blue. When I asked her, she said it was from when she feel a year ago. Could this be anything else besides a bad bruise?

I am sorry to hear that your grandmother fell and hurt her knee. The black and blue on her left foot is probably just the bruise from her knee injury. The blood that is associated to the knee injury is gradually migrating down her leg due to gravity. This is nothing to worry about and very common occurrence.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help
