What Could Be The Symptom Of Miscarriage Mediated Menstrual Bleed?

My boyfriend and i have not used any protection during the last 3 months, i have missed my period for a month and 2 weeks and have been experiencing strange sensations ever since: such as, neausea, loss of energy/ tiredness and lower back pains. My period started yesterday, but it's abnormally heavy, i have had light periods my entire life and this time it's very heavy and has a very thick dark red colour and little blood cloths beginning to show up also. Cramps which i would rarely ever have, are now more painful and the lower back pain is getting worse. I looked it up online and saw that some of the things i am experiencing can mean i've had a miscarriage. How do i know for sure?

I am sorry that you are having a difficult period. An early miscarriage is one possibility, however there are many others such as an under functioning thyroid, or an infection. Periods can be heavier because they are irregular and large fluctuations in the normal changes in the menstrual cycle may be due to reasons such as aging or changes in your natural body rhythms due to stress, swing shifts, new female roommates.
If your current episode is from a an early pregnancy loss, a pregnancy test may still be positive. The first morning void should be most sensitive as the pregnancy hormone is most concentrated. If it is positive, the bleeding and pain will pass in a few days. You should repeat the test n a few days to make sure it becomes negative. Sometimes pregnancy continues even after bleeding, or there can be a medical condition that keeps the pregnancy hormone elevated, even if a pregnancy is not established.
Please see a local doctor if your menses continues to be irregular, painful, or heavy, or if your pregnancy test remains positive.
Do you know your blood type? If it is Rh negative, and you have miscarried, even if the pregnancy test is now negative, it is important to see a local doctor to prevnt problems in a future pregnancy due to blood type incompatibility between you and your baby.
