What Could Be The Soft Spot On Right Side Of Shin For A Kickboxing Person?

I have a soft spot on the right side of my right shin about the sizefof a quarter. I've always had bad shin splints playing sports in high school and just associated the pain with that. I do take kickboxing and bootcamp classes as well. Last night I was rubbing my shins and came across the spot. What possibly could that be?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, this could be hypertrophy of tissue due to continues rubbing or hitting such process first cause inflammation of soft tissue then due to continues compression this inflammation turns into hardening of cartilage and forming lump like structure, later this remains as normal part, hope this information helps you, have nice day.
