What Could Be The Reason Of Weight Gain?

One year ago I had a rather quick loss of appetite and weight loss. My Levrothyroxine was changed from .112mg to .100 mg and my eight and appetite returned to normal. Now, one year later, I find myself gaining weight but with no noticable change in appetite. I added fishoilduring the year.

HI

Thanks for posting your query.

Possible causes for your weight gain are :

1. Your requirement for Levothyroxine might have increased and hence what dose you are taking has become less leading inadequate control of your Thyroid condition.

To confirm this you need to get Serum TSH test and if it's higher than normal range your dose has to be increased to 112.5 again.

2. Could be just due to physical inactivity and high intake of cholesterol rich diet.

Solution is Daily exercising for 20-30 minutes and avoiding cholesterol rich diet .

Hope you find this information useful.

Any clarifications feel free to ask .
