I would suggest you to get a checkup done.
Apply cortisone acetate topically over the affected area.
Take warm saline gargles 3-4 times daily to give a soothing effect.

Take mutivitamin tablets.
Apply dologel oral ointment topically over the affected area.

Maintain a good oral hygiene.
Also get a routine blood examination done.

TAKE vitamin becosules,c,iron and folic acid tablets.
Avoid anxiety,stress.
Intake of spicy,salty food items has to be limited.
Include leafy vegetables,oranges,lemon into your diet.
Maintain good oral hygiene.
Frequent warm saline gargle can be done.

Some mouth ulcers even cause fevers or bleeding. Ibuprofen can be taken to help with pain while the ulcer is being treated. If bleeding or pain from the mouth ulcer persists, a doctor visit is highly recommended. If the mouth ulcer keeps coming back after it has been treated, consult with a physician to see if he may find the cause.
Always enforce exceptional oral hygiene to help prevent mouth ulcers from occurring. Making sure you don't brush too hard is one way to practice good oral hygiene. Brush with less pressure and change out your toothbrush every 3-4 months.

i need to know about your husband's age, his habits like smoking or pan chewing, health status, medicines he is taking and the look of the ulcer, location , number and size..etc cos there are too many varieties of ulcers
