What Could Be The Reason For Intermittent Twitching In Right Side Of Lower Lip After Dental Implant Was Placed?

I had a dental implant placed a couple of weeks ago on my lower right side. Ever since then I've had twitching in my lower right lip to the midline. It comes and goes intermittently throughout the day. I am sure it's not muscle spasms. Could the implant have come in contact with a nerve?

Hello,
Thanks for your query.
You may have a dental infection that is putting pressure on certain nerves of your jaw. Have yourself evaluated locally by a dentist. Allowing this to progress untreated may result in permanent numbness.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
