What Could Be The Reason For Increase In HCG Levels?

my daughter had pregnancy test monday at her ob, urine test was positive blood work showed her HCG levels at 6335, however, she was cramping and bleeding at the time of test so we knew she was having a miscarriage. 2 days later her dr said she my not have been pregnant at all. What else would make her HCG levels be that high

Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
High levels of HCG commonly seen in pregnancy. Rarely seen in molar pregnancy.
but very rarely seen in ovarian lesions or cysts. An ultrasound will determine whether she was pregnant or there is other cause.
Serial HCG levels should decrease over Time. If same or increasing then it had to be investigated.
