What Could Be The Reason For Headache, Lightheadedness And Shaky Hands?

I have been lightheaded, some days worse than others, but constant for 2 months. I have been getting headaches, seeing flashing white dots, sometimes my hands are shaky. I ve had an MRI, seen a cardiologist. I don t know what my next step is or what this could be.

Welcome to HCM!

On reading your question carefully I can understand that you are very distressed with your problems. You have been moving around and got various tests done.

You mentioned having an MRI and seen a cardiologist, but have not told their results??? and what was the opinion of the doctor??
These two information would have helped in ruling out some neurological and cardiovascular causes of your presentation.

As you have mentioned that you have headaches with flashes and dots; they are commonly seen in case of migrane headaches. This headache is usually on one side of head, and throbbing in nature, can be associated with dizziness as well.

You have not mentioned if you have high blood pressure or diabetes or are on some medicine for any other reason. The presentation can be related to high BP as well ( headaches, lightheaded ness, and shaky hands).

If your BP and MRI brain is normal, I have found very good response with rizatryptan 5-10 mg, along with Dizitac in cases similar to you. These two drugs control all the symptoms which you have mentioned.

I will advice you to visit a GP ( if your above investigation are normal ) and go ahead with medicines. This is not at all an uncommon condition and can be tackled easily.

P.S. please stop/ reduce cigarettes , alcohol if you use them. this will help you in getting better.

Get well soon!
