What Could Be The Reason For Having Red Blister Looking Spots On My Face?
yes I have red blister looking spots on my face an small bumps aroung my chin, doesn't itch but burns. I have not had makeup on for 3 weeks. I have used medicated lotion cream which only helps for a short time...What can you tell me this could be. I am 79 years old and in good health for my age.....Thank You
I would like to keep a possibility of either Herpes Zoster, which has a viral etiology OR a second possibility of Impetigo, which is a bacterial infection.
Herpes usually presents as grouped vesicular/fluid filled lesions which is associated with pain, burning. Treatment is an oral antiviral e.g Acyclovir.
Impetigo presents can present as either fluid filled lesions, which can be slightly yellowish or turbid. However, most of the times it presents as erosions covered with honey colored crusts. Impetigo is treated with oral and topical antibacterials.
I would advice that you see a dermatologist for a confirmatory diagnosis and appropriate management.
