What Could Be The Reason For Having Pain On Left Side Of My Rib Cage?
Hi, I m a 25 year old female who s been having pain on my left side of my rib cage starting at the sternum and radiating out laterally. It started about a week ago, appeared to be going away and then sudden sharp pain woke me from my sleep, followed by constant pain from deep breathing. Any ideas of what could be causing this? I take Advil fairly regularly for neck pain and that isn t helping with this pain.

As this could be just acidity issue and nothing more. Because at your age having major pathology of the organs is very very rare. As you are taking advil for your neck pain, it won't help this pain, o will advice to take any antacid medicine which can help reduce the acidic activity and avoid pains. Due to acidity there will be compression over the diaphragm and inturn increase the intra thoracic pressure leading to pain in heart symptoms. With simple antacid and drinking more water, you should be fine.
