General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Absence of periods is referred to as amenorrhoea.Since the duration of amenorrhoea is long,it has to be thoroughly investigated.

Kindly continue the prescribed pills for 2 more cycles since it takes time for the pills to act and regularise the hormones.

Meanwhile obesity, diabetes, hypothyroidism and polycystic ovaries should be ruled out.Abdominal ultrasound is to be done to rule out polycystic ovaries.

Hope that was helpful.Let me know if i can assist you further.
