What Could Be The Reason For Having High Sugar Level Even After Taking Insulin?
Hi my mother in laws (age 62) has diabetes. She takes insulin dose of 35 units in morning and 25 units evening. She also takes Galvus met one tablet daily. Despite these medication her sugar level remains around 220 fasting and 280 random. What cud be the possible reason for that much levels?

The probable reason may that the dose of insulin may be insufficient to control the blood sugar. So the dose of insulin may be increases with regular monitoring of blood sugar. She may be put on a long acting insulin like glargine.
