What could be the reason for having a discoloration on the back part of my leg?

My husband has a discoloration on the back part of his right leg. It looks like it follows the achilles tendon, is a bluish color and has pain sometimes. The bottom part of the leg is like a leopard pattern from the skin and color. He has pain in the bottom of his foot when he stands up after being off his feet at night. His blood pressure averages 168/76, 6 4 , 385 and he is 44 years old.

Hi,

It may be due to ecchymosis means blood spread underneath skin caused by rupture of capillaries in skin. It may vanish in few weeks. It may be called senile purpura. There is no need to worry. It doesn’t require treatment.

Hope this helps.
