What Could Be The Pinkish Spot On The Inner Thigh ?

About 3-4 weeks ago I noticed a pinkish spot on my inner thigh, a few inches above my knee . It has turned into a blotchy mark a bit bigger than a quarter. It is not circular. It is mostly red, has some pink, and has a white patch near the center that feels like dry skin . It does not itch or burn or feel irritated. It is not bumpy or raised... I just noticed other spots on my other leg and on my stomach that look like this one might have when it started. I have never had skin problems excpet for generally dry/itchy skin in the winter.

Hi

Thanks for your query

Seems like you are either developing recurrent bruises or such purplish skin lesions can be part of a vasculitic skin disease.
I think you need proper assessment in the form of various blood tests.
In such cases, sometimes even a skin biopsy has to be done for confirmation of the diagnosis.
I hope you are not presently on any drugs for any other skin condition and certain drugs can lead to development of such lesions.
Avoid taking any painkillers or antibiotics of your own.

So I would advise you to visit a dermatologist for proper assessment and treatment.

Hope it helps
Best wishes for a speedy recovery
