What Could Be The Lump On The Neck Of My Son?

My son just had a ultrasound on a lump on his neck now he has to have a needle put in it to take some cells out they say it isn t a cyst or anything like that when I seen it on screen it looked like a blue circle with little coloured circles in have you any idea what it could be thankyou.

The kind of blue circle with little coloured circles are actually the picture of the blood flow through that area which is present in every body tissue on ultrasonography so do not get anxious about the kind of picture you have seen.

The process of taking cells by needle is known as Fine needle aspiration cytology and is best process to know the exact nature of lump.

Wait for the results and do not worry about the blue circle with little coloured circles.
