What Could Be The Knot On The Thigh With Cellulitis?

Celulitus several times in same leg. Left with a large, painful, hard knot on inner thigh. Leg swells often. Skin around knot is black/blueish...looks almost - dead.

Was hospitalized, got it under control, but still left with knot/swelling/pain once a month - or more....

Could that knot be a gland////cancer?

Hi.
The first thing to remember is - cancers do not heal like you have described.

This means this is a chronic infection .
I would advise excision, debridement and subject the tissues for histo-pathology reporting.

I find this answer helpful
