What Could Be The Cause Of Shortness Of Breath Followed By Severe Chest Pain?

Hi, I have shortness of breath like 2-3 weeks. And I also feel a pain at my chest. Sometimes at center sometimes at left or both. So, I went to doctor last night and she said it just a gastric. But she seems not sure hereself (her face and voice LOL). But I want to know if something serious might happen since I just 14 and female.

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
At your age ( 14), cardiac cause is less likely. But for your symptoms like shortness of breath and left sided chest pain, better to rule out cardiac cause first.
So get done ecg.
If ecg is normal then no need to worry much for cardiac cause.
Anxiety appears more in your case.
Anxiety can worsen GERD ( gastroesophageal reflux disease ).
And this can cause central and left sided chest pain.
So control of anxiety is needed.
Better to consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution.
You may require anxiolytic drugs too.
Avoid stress and tension. Be relax and calm.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
