I applied some antibacterial eye drops and didn t wear my contact lenses for 3 days and the redness started to go away.... so i started to use my contact lenses for daytime use again and i woke up with redness and gunk around my eyelashes again.... Dear Friend,
From your description it seems that after bath you developed swimming pool conjunctivitis later got complicated by ?bacterial conjunctivitis secondary to contact lens (contact lens keratitis). With initial medicines your conjunctivitis resolved.
With reuse of contact lens the contact lens keratitis (probably bacterial) re-occurred.
I advice you to discard your contact lenes, use antibiotics 1. fluoroquinalones and 2. aminoglycosides, in a high dose (hourly dose), use glasses for couple of weeks and then plan for the new pair of contact lenses.
