What Could Be The Cause Of Prolonged Knee Pain ?

I have got pain on left side of my left knee for like 3 weeks now. I don t remember getting hit my knee against anything hard. It just came from nowhere. I feel this pain ONLY when I climb down the stairs, otherwise the pain is mild and negligible. As of now, I am going for my Ballet dance classes where I strain my knees so much. I also apply Volini sometimes at night. But the pain is continuing for weeks now. Could you please suggest me on this? Is it because of cold weather? Should I consult a physician or take some medicine? Thank you so much for helping me out! Cheers Cathy

Hi Catherine, I am Dr Rangwala. You have left knee joint pain since few months, going for Dancing, which exerts more stress on your already affected knee, Considering it, you should Immediately consult Orthopedic without delaying and get your knee examined and investigated at earliest... thanks ............take care
