What Could Be The Cause Of Ear Clogging And Severe Cold With Normal CAT Scan Results?

dear sir (s), for the last 3 months i have been suffering on ear plugged like i just get out from airplane. This started after having a cold. Now, when there is a cold wind or someone smokes next to me the plugge increases and goes all the way up to my head and feel like i m dreaming. it looks like my ear canal and my head is frozen and i get aggravated easily and become very careless. when the weather gets worm say around 20 deg Celsius i feel good and almost my trouble goes away. Then it comes back when the weather get cold and there is a wind. I did cat scan and the result was good. My doctor told me i have no issue at all which is not true. it has been a delima for me since i have never had something like that. Sometimes i think a cold air may enter my ears since when the weather get cold my problem rises. Oh I forget to mention that the tasting bumps at the end of tongue are bigger than the way the used to be. They bother me at the beginning but I used salt water and get relieve but still swollen with no pain. Thank you ver much.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The feeling as though your ear is plugged may be related eustachian tube dysfunction. The eustachian tube connects the middle ear to the nasopharynx (essentially the back of the throat).
It has different functions.

Dysfunction (not working) of the eustachian tube can cause muffled sounds and the sensation that the ear is blocked.

You can consider the use of an antihistamine and decongestant.

I hope this helps
