What Could Be The Cause For Pink Discharge Discharge?

I am on day twenty one (21) of my menstrual cycle. I am on the control birth control pill. I last had sex four weeks ago and took the morning after pill just to be sure. I can feel my body is getting ready to menstrurate, however twice I have noticed a slight pink discharge. What can this mean?

Hi,
The chances of conception are almost nil since you are on regular contraception and added to that you have taken the emergency contraception also. The cause of the current spotting is most likely to be a simple breakthrough as emergency contraception can cause disturbance of normal hormonal milieu though not so long. Please wait for your next cycle and get tested if you have any disturbance then. Also weight gain is usual while on the pill and this can cause breakthrough bleeds as the increased weight raises the demand for the hormone. Hope this helps.
