What Could Be Swelled Area On Inner Thigh?

I have a swelled area on my inner thigh. Have a little pain with it and has started to recede. Have had it for about 3 days. I do not have a fever but the area is a little warm to the touch. I thought it might be an insect bite, but I do not seem to have those symptoms.

Hi,

I can understand your concern for the swelled area on inner thigh. It appears that the area got infected.

You should meet your treating doctor to get proper diagnosis. Do not try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem and spread of the infection. This area is quite common to get infected very easily because of sweating and high bacterial proliferation.

For time being period you can apply antibiotic cream such as fucidin or mupirocin and take pain killer tablets such diclofenac or paracetamol.

Take care.
