What Could Be Done To Raise Blood Pressure In 101 Yr Old?

My brother-in-law is 101 years old. Yesterday morning his blood pressure was 135/74 pulse 72. This morning it was 87/54 . His care giver gave him a small glass of Gatorade. Now his blood pressure is 92/49 pulse 79. I ve called Kaiser, but I would like to know what can be done to raise blood pressure while I wait for them to call me. Thank you, Vera

Hi,
He may be significantly dehydrated. Therefore, I suggest you encourage him to drink plenty of fluid, both water and Gatorade. This is likely to raise his blood pressure.
