What Could Be Cause Of White Patches In My Babies Mouth?

I just stopped breast feeding because I noticed white patches in my baby's mouth and it would sting to breast feed .. I think he might have thrush .. But it's been two weeks that I haven't breast fed . My nipples are no longer itchy or pink/reddish. But they are peeling why?

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Babies who are exclusively on breast feeding will have a white patch over the tongue.
It will disappear once you reduce milk and suppliment with other foods as the child grows older.
AS the baby is breast feeding some oily substance is secreted from the gland over the areola.
When they are not secreted after cessation of breastmilk some peeling of skin may occur.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
