What Could Be Cause Of Lump On Side Of Knee After Lateral Release?

I just had a lateral release ten days ago. I see my orthopedic next week. I am not sure how much I should be on my feet during the day. I have been up quite a bit and the swelling is intense. Now I have a large lump on that side of my knee. What is that?

Hi
without seeing the leg difficult to say weather the lump is a blister or effusion in knee joint.
If it is a blister over skin it need to be drained and intracompertmental pressure should be checked.
If it is knee effusion then the effusion should be drained.
You should consult your orthopaedic doctor.
Get well soon.
Thank you.
