What Could Be A Very Tight Narrow Meatus On The Testicles?
my husband recently saw a consultant urologist when examining his genetalia he has got a very tight narrow meatus also his left testis is small and the right testis is retractable and almost atrophic should he be worried he is awaiting surgery to have meatal or uretheral dilation under general anaesthetic as a day case patient
Hi. Thanks for your query. Both the problems are not directly related. He can very well go ahead for surgery for the tight meatus under general anesthesia as a day care patient. No harm in going ahead with this.
The problem of the testis is a different issue. Left being small and the right being atrophic , it is easily retractable. Ultrasonography with color doppler study will give an idea as is the hormonal studies. If the family is complete and there is no sexual problem, Nothing much to worry about as both the conditions are not reversible. USG report will guide if your husband needs further surgery or medical treatment.
Do insist with the Urologist for the testicular problems.
