What Could Be A Painful Neck With Lump Right On The Spine In A 13 Years Old Child?

My 13-year-old son woke up this morning, shortly after his neck popping, he got blurred vision. He couldn t move his neck all day. It s painful and his head is tilted to one side. I tried to rub it and I noticed a lump on his neck. It is right on the spine in the middle of his neck. Does this sound like a common kink from sleeping wrong or something I should be concerned about?

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Its more likely to be a lymph node.
If there is no pain, no redness then there seems to be no cause for concern.
It should resolve in a week time, consult Pediatrician if it persists.

In case you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Wishing you happy and healthy life

Take Care
