What Could A Lump On Left Calf Muscle Of A Child Indicate?

my 21/2yr old son has a lump in his left calf muscle hes not really favouring it at all but occasionally ill see him limp not sure if I should get it check or not I work however he is looked after by his dad so not sure how he got the lump or how long it has been there

Massage the lump and give heat. Is that painful and baby feel fever, fo straight to the physician for help. It may be infected.

Such lumps are usually due to physical injury while playing.
