If he is hospital, he will be under observation. and depending on the cause for stroke, the presentation will vary from patient to patient.

Patient's state will depend upon the kind of stroke he developed. Everything depends upn the cause and type of stroke and kind of treatment recieved in initial few hours.

My brother is was out mowing the lawn this morning, the temoeratures were in the upper 70 s but the humidity was 84%. about an hour later he felt like he was having low blood sugar so we got something to eat, hamberger, fries and a coke. Usually he said the symptoms would disappear after he ate but they didn t. Then we got him a slice of apple pie and a frappe with caramel and whipped cream. He said he would feel better but he didn t. He said he thought he should sit down so he did. He was falling asleep and began nodding his head while sleeping, then his legs began moving laterally, I suggested he lie down, he got up, caught his balance and walked to his bed room teetering on the way. He laid down and is now sleeping. He doesn t appear to be sweating and his skin is a bit redder than normal. He is very confused but knows he is confused. He keeps saying something isn t right. Could he have have heat stroke. We haven t taken his temperature or his heart rate.

My sister- in- law had a stroke Sunday afternoon. She is in a medically induced coma. They took her off medicine yesterday, she moved around a little, but nothing else. They put her back on meds late yesterday. She is hospitalized in Bakersfield. I live in Los Angeles and have had medical care at UCLA and Cedar Sinai for a Meningioma. Keith Black, M.D. performed my surgery. I have been kept really informed about my condition and the prognosis. We feel the doctors here don t keep us informed about her progress. We don t know if its normal for her to not come up after meds are removed. We don t know if thats usual or not. We did ask last evening if surgery was the next step and did not get a definite statement one way or the other. Are we asking the wrong questions? Is it normal to just sit and wait to see what happens next?

I was diagnosed with a 3.4 arotic aneurysm in January of this year. I realize that is relatively small, however, six months ago I had a CT scan with contrast and there was no mention of aneurysm. So is that size any thing to be concerned about in six months time, or do they start about that size.
