What Condition Of Orthostatic Hypotension My Daughter Is Having?

My daughter is reporting feeling faint with position change and "see's white." Orthostatic hypotension is considered; measured and is inconclusive. She is 13 and growing at a fast rate. She has no cardiac hx thus far.....what conditions should be considered. She has been a normal healthy child- no significant past history. Concerned mom

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Ortostatic or postural hypotension is not common at this stage.
There might be having some other causes.
Go for regular blood pressure measuring in lying down position, then in sitting position and then on standing position.
If there is abrupt fall of BP then it is called orthostatic hypotension.
Ok and take care.
