What Causes Yellow Mucus With Brown Specks While Coughing?
I am a 32-year old female. I have asthma and am just getting over having Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. This morning, I have a cough and coughed up a yellow mucus with light brown specks in it. Doesn t look like blood to me, but is different then anything before. Also shortness of breath.

Hi,
I suggest you to drink hot water and have hot food stuff. Also, do steam inhalation twice or thrice daily. Brown strain can be blood but nothing to be worried as of now. Just follow these conservative measures and still persists then meet your doctor.
