What Causes Yellow Follicles On Tonsil With Sore Throat?
Hi I am 25 weeks pregnant and have a very bad sore throat , I went to the doctor the other day and they did a strep swab which was neg and culture neg too. I have now developed some small yellow follicles on the left tonsil and its hurting a lot , do you advise its a viral infection or I should take antibiotics ? I have no fever , no running nose .

Hi..the yellowish spots on tonsil are tonsilar depressions filled with pus, and debris..start on antibiotics cap amox is safest in pregnancy...tab paracetamol whenever ther is pain for relief...do luke warm salt water garggling....wish you speedy recovery....
