What Causes Wrist Pain While Lifting Weight Or Bending After Wrist Injury?

I injured my wrist about two weeks ago. It was swollen for about a week and I could barely move it. After the first week, the swelling went away and I regained some movement. Now it hurts whenever I put a lot of weight on it, bend it too far, or it moves suddenly. I initially injured it playing basketball.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
From description , it seems you might developed muscular or ligamentous strain .
Now after 2 weeks if pain is severe ,I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You may get the x-ray/ MRI of the area affected under his/her guidance

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
