Hello, i just noticed today i had small little white spots on my upper lip. you can notice them if i stretch the skin. They dont hurt. But i did have a really bad cold last week. i have never notice them til today that im getting over a cold. Can you tell me what this might be. Thanks
Most probably the whitish spots seen on lip after stretching may be Fordyce spots. The condition is benign and harmless. The spots are actually hypertrophied abberant sebaceous glands. They may remain unchanged lifetime. As the condition is symptomless and benign, no treatment is required. You may consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. I hope you got my answer.
Hello These are called millia--small benign cysts. The often appear and then disappear in a few days. There is no topical treatment for them but if they become a problem, a dermatologist can rid them with a cold CO2 laser
