What Causes White Spots On Back Of Throat Along With Sore Throat?

Hello, I have had a sore throat for the past few days. It has kept me up not because of pain but because it gets very scratchy at night, almost like the air is too dry. I don t see any white spots on the back of my throat but I did have 1-2 on the sides of my tongue. The back of my throat looks blood shot (veins), as does the ulva. It doesn t seem like anything is swollen and I don t see any pus or anything like that. This has been going on for 4 days now. No fever. Should I go to a doctor?
