My 15 year old daughter has white-ish stuff growing on her tonsils. When she is able to pick it off with her tongue, it is a solid lump. Maybe fungus? She's had it before and took antibiotics but it keeps coming back. This is about the 4th time she's had this. What is it and does she need her tonsils removed.
These are tonsilloliths.. The tonsils normally have crypts or depressions in them where food gets stuck up.. This organizes and seems like whitish mass.. Nothing to worry unless u have other symptoms such as fever pain difficulty swallowing or breathing
