What Causes White Patches On Tonsils?

hi i am a 27 year old male.it started three months back with a sore throat and followed by cold and cough.the cold and cough vanished with treatment and left out with this two white spots with no growth and right now i have irritation on my left tonsils,when i looked in to mirror i saw a white granular spot and two cut marks as if of bitten with two teeth on my left tonsil and a granular white spot in the center of the throat visible in my mirror.it has irritation effect only in the left tonsil and i find no pain and swelling.I approched to well experienced Doctors but they treated me with antibiotics like ranbaxy,doxy and a tantum,hexadine mouth gargling tonic but no cure. i see these patches are lasting from more than three months but the cuts are from four days only.please suggest me i am worried a lot.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain white spots on tonsils that are not resolved with antibiotics bit other symptoms of sore throat and cold are resolved, there is a possibility that the white spots are due to formation of Tonsil stones that are calcification of food particles and debris on the crypts of tonsils..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis..
In case if it is tonsils stones it can cause irritation of tonsils as well as can cause bad breath..
He can remove the stones manually using fine tweezers as well as advise you to gargle with 1:1 solution of hydrogen peroxide and water..
You can also be advised to do warm saline gargles..
Gargle after every meal..
Limit intake of dairy and other high Calcium products..
