What Causes White Discharge From Cut Through Razor While Shaving?

I cut my leg a few days ago with a razor (shaving), i was pressing on the razor and going fast and then i cut my leg, i put a band aid is soaked with blood i change it evryday, and today i realized there is this white liquid coming out? What is that liquid, and why is it coming out? And how do i stop the bleeding?

Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I think the wound has got contaminated with bacteria, therefore this oozing of fluid/discharge.
Keep the wound open, don't cover it with band aid.
Clean the wound with a sterile gauze dipped in betadine solution. Betadine is antiseptic.
If I was the treating doctor I would have started you on a course of an oral antibiotic for a week. My choice of an oral antibiotic would have been either flucloxacillin or cephalexin.
Topically you may use an OTC antibacterial e.g 2% mupirocin ointment, twice daily at the site of wound.
