Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I would like to know the cause of my recent white stools. I have no pain and feel fine. I went to dr. and he is having me get an abdominal ultrasound but in the meantime im scared. He advised me it could be a blocked bile but wasnt very specific. I will say I was sick with the common cold and took cold and cough medicine, nyquil dayquil, etc....but stopped 2 days ago and now have white stool
There can be different reasons as - A side effect of the drug consumed for cough and cold. - Altered gut flora mechanics. - Issues with liver, gall bladder, bile drainage system. You need evaluation with stool microscopy, ultrasound reports.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
