What Causes White Clumpy Vaginal Discharge And Foul Odour After Having Sex?

Hi, I just recently started douching, like two weeks ago cause I had a foul smelling discharge , white ish in color and a little clumpy but it comes and goes and I thought it was just cause I just finished my period, the smell went away, but then I had sex , i had unprotected sex for about a minute then it was protected , after , my vagina lips were swollen (which I assumed cause the sex was quite dry as in I wasn t really lubricated ) , a few days later , it was itchy , and my discharge remained the same, and I have no stds, my partner doesn t have any stds either, could this be a bacterial infection or just a yeast infection? Please help I m highly scared to go to the doctor :/ lol

Welcome to healthcaremagic.com. The symptoms you are having are consistent with an infection. Now the infection could be fungal and or bacterial most commonly. The rule of thumb is that if it could be an STD, then you want that treated. The issue here is that you don't know until you get tested, and who knows what could be found, remember that infections can lay dormant for a while before one sees symptoms. Pleases don't be scared to go to the doctor, this one visit you will make will provide with with the answers and treatments if indicated. this could just be bacterial vaginosis (BV) which is common to crop up after intercourse.
