What Causes White And Painful Bumps On The Tongue?

Hi I think I am pregnant even though my blood pregnancy tests have been negative. My last one was 8/20/15 and if I am pregnant I would have been 11 weeks. I think I am now 16 weeks pregnant and I have a semi large baby bump in my lower stomach and I have had all the symptoms except throwing up. So my question is what are the white bumps on the under side of my tongue that hurt like crazy. They feel like a burning sensation but it only lasted for 2 days. So what are they and could I be pregnant

Hi .
Thanks for the query..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain white painful bumps underside the tongue can be canker sores or apthous ulcers and can occur due to a number of causes like nutritional deficiency of Iron, vitamin B12 and flic acid, physical trauma, stress, acid reflux, hormonal changes etc..
At times there can be no underlying cause..
The other thing is that bumps in mouth is not any diagnosis of pregnancy and in case as if it has already be negative in the pregnancy test, for e-confirmation you can get tested again..

For painful bumps under tongue you can take a multivitamin tablet daily.
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.
Apply a numbing gel over the bumps.
Do soda bicarb gargles.
Avoid hot , spicy and sour foods.
Suck on ice pops.

But you should take a note that if you suspect pregnancy you should take any medication only after consulting a gynaecologist if pregnancy is confirmed..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
