What Causes Weight Loss While On Melmet?

Is melmet sr 500 reduces body weight. My blood sugar is 190 mg(Pp). ESR 75 mm/hr. No symptoms and caring from 40 to 100 mm/hr during 10 years.Now Body weight reduced to55 kg from 68 kg. During 10 months. Now chole lithiasis also find on scanning. No symptoms. Give me a reply

Weight loss is one of the side effect of Metformin(Nelnet).That is why we don't prescribe this medicine to low weight patients.
If this weight loss is concerning you ,you can ask your doctor to change the medicine for you.
