What Causes Weight Gain, Missed Periods After An Abortion?

Hi I am 27 yr old married women. I had an abortion in Nov 2013 due to some medical problem(Blighted Ovum). And I am gaining lot of weight. And now I am trying to concieve again ,my periods were suppose to come on 15 March but still it has not come..I tested for pregnancy on 25th it shows negative. Can you please tell what is happening ??

As per your description, you seem to have developed some sort of hormone imbalance after the abortion and this is likely to be causing the delay in your menstrual cycles and also the weight gain. To manage this, you need to get a complete hormone evaluation apart form a general physical examination and further management planed accordingly. Also, to enable proper hormone balance and ensure regular ovulation, the body weight needs to be under check. Please do regular exercise and eat a healthy diet. Hope this helps.
