What Causes Weight Gain And Difficulty In Swallowing While Having Tryptomer?

i am taking medicineT.tryptomer 50 mg daily in night since two yrs. i am feeling better . i have no pressure and not used other medicine. my veg food is very simple but i m suffering from weight gain 59 kg to 70 kg within one year, twitching tongue, difficulty in swallowing ... is there any substitute?

Weight gain is a well known side effect of Tryptomer and other tricyclic antidepressants.
Another group of anti depressants called SSRI may be suitable for you as it has less side effects. You can discuss this with your treating doctor.
Do not change your medicine without your doctor's consent.
