What Causes Weakness And Cramps In Legs After Botox Injection?

My daughter had botox done about 4 weeks ago and it seemed to reduce her the pain of her almost daily migraines. She had it done by a cosmetic doctor who only did the shots in her face. Now 4 weeks later she has had a debilitating migraine for 5 days. She has weakness and cramps in her legs plus neurological symptoms through her body. Plus she is nauseous. Any chance it could be from having botox 4 weeks ago?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I don't think the facial botox would cause such a crisis of headache.
It is a typical migraine crisis and she should visit a neurologist in order to take the right treatment. EEG may be needed.
She may need to take migretil.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
