Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my friend said that his stool is watery and that strings come along with his stool. the strings are about a half to 1 inch long and are somewhat "fat". he's having stomachaches until now. we ate street foods yesterday. could his condition resulted from what we ate yesterday? i'm not having difficulties in relieving.
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your stomach upset.
As per your friends history, signs and symptoms, it seems to me that he is suffering with food poisoning. Sudden abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea are the symptoms of food poisoning, with previous history of outside meals.
You need to keep him hydrated with good amount of fluids. Also add ORS to the fluids to keep the electrolyte balance.
Wait for 24 hours if the concern is over no need for further treatment. If the condition persists with fever and more colic pain, visit an Everwood for further treatment.
Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any further queries.
Regards Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
